AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome is a game in which the player jumps off the top of a floating building, falls, and lands on a platform. Along the way, the player scores points by accomplishing various tasks, like falling close to other floating buildings, vandalizing buildings, and hitting score plates. The game takes place on Earth, the moon, and Ganymede.

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome features one hundred twenty five levels. The player’s score on each level is rated from one to five stars, and earning more stars grants the player more teeth and kneecaps, which are used to unlock additional levels and other things, like a meditation. The level selection screen also contains various tips and facts the player can read, and the music that plays during it is sometimes interrupted by radio announcements from a man named Nebin.

Two ways of earning points  in AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome are “hugs” and “kisses.” “Hugs” are earned  by staying close to an object while falling. “Kisses” are earned by coming close to an object. Actual hugs and kisses are not featured. Objects are often spread out over an area, allowing the player to choose between moving around and “kissing” as many objects as possible or staying close to an already-“kissed” object in order to acquire more “hugs.”

The graphics in AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome are in a computerized style. Objects are mostly gray, blue, and red, and they flash when “kissed.” Birds appear are partially translucent,  white, and phosphorescent, and cars are hover cars. The sounds in AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome include the noise of the player smashing into buildings and other obstacles, cheering fans, booing protesters, and noises to indicate when the player is scoring points. The music in AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome is in a variety of styles. Some music features people laughing and babies. Other music is techno music.

Additional ways of scoring points in AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome include giving the thumbs up to supporters when they appear during the fall, giving a rude gesture to protesters, landing in designated zones on the landing pad, and falling through a tight opening. Levels have names like “I’ll Tell You Where to Shove Your Two Year Phone Contract” and “You Had a Dream Like This and When You Woke Up Your Skull Was Gone.” One unlockable video contains tips for people who have accidentally traveled back in time, including a tutorial on how to recognize early Sumerian artistry. A level contains a picture of Dejobaan Games’ lawyer.
