Tower of Guns is a first person shooter with roguelike elements in which the player battles their way through the eponymous tower of guns in an attempt to defeat the bosses of six stages. Receiver Review

Receiver is a first person shooter in which the player controls a character with a floating gun who moves around an area attempting to absorb cassette tapes. The area is randomly populated by robotic turrets and drones, which attack the player when they spot the player. The various parts of the player’s gun, like the slide and the magazine, are each controlled individually by the player. Throughout the game, the player learns about the upcoming Mindkill and learns that this is a time that has been prepared for.

Brogue Review

Brogue is a roguelike game in which the player must descend to the 26th floor of a dungeon, retrieve the Amulet of Yendor, and return to the surface. Various monsters and traps exist in the dungeon which can prevent the player from accomplishing their objective. Items in the game confer various abilities that combine with the actions of monsters to create myriad results. Interacting with toads results in temporary hallucinations.

Spelunky Review

In Spelunky the player controls an explorer who must traverse through randomly generated levels full of deadly traps, collecting treasure and fighting monsters. Frogs, rats, grasshoppers, penguins, and other vermin appear in the game as noncombatants.
