Betrayer is a first person shooter stealth horror adventure game in which the player controls a character who washes up on the shore of an English colony in America in 1604. The player soon encounters clues, which hint at what occurred before the player arrived, and ghosts, which are what remain of the inhabitants of the colony and others, including eponymous betrayers. The player must explore the colony and the wilderness around it to discover what has happened, while also sneaking by and engaging in combat with some of the ghosts.

Various weapons are available to players and the various maps have different routes the players can use to reach the objectives.

Titanfall is a first person shooter in which two teams of six players each fight each other in an attempt to accomplish the objective of the game mode they are playing. Titans are large robots that operate on artificial intelligence when not piloted.

Far Cry 3 is a first person shooter in which the player takes control of Jason Brody, a bro who is on vacation with his brother and his friends. Brody and his friends visit the Rook Islands and are captured by pirates. The player then escapes and attempts to rescue Brody’s friends by killing pirates and assisting the native inhabitants of the island in their fight against the pirates. The player can also hunt, punch, and skin animals, craft various pieces of equipment, pick plants, climb up to the top of radio towers, use zip lines, torture someone, fly through the air with a wingsuit, execute two enemies simultaneously with a melee kill, find and read letters written by Japanese soldiers, and swim.

Far Cry 2 is a first person shooter in which the player takes control of a mercenary in Africa who is attempting to hunt down an arms dealer known as the Jackal. The player can also move freely around the world and find side missions. The player has buddies, which are AI characters that can save the player from death and offer the player additional missions.

BioShock Infinite is a first person shooter set in 1912 in which the player controls Booker DeWitt, a man who is attempting to repay the debt the has accumulated by visiting a flying city called Columbia and retrieving a woman who is there. In order to accomplish his objective, Booker must fight his way through police officers and others, like people who can turn into crows and back into people indefinitely until Booker kills them.
